Dr. Jeff Kelly Psy.D.
Postdoctoral Psychologist
My goal is to help you heal and bring clarity into your struggles.
I deeply desire to help you grow, whether through insight about yourself, or in finding emotional, spiritual, and relational health.
One of my therapeutic goals is to provide you with the space and freedom to be authentic and vulnerable. I believe there is power in being present with someone, sitting with them in the heaviest of moments. I hope to provide an environment and presence where you can share and process your disappointments and pain, while also making room to explore your hopes and dreams for the future.
I use up-to-date evidence-based treatments to help clients know themselves better, such that clients come to better understand their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and relationships, as well as how these relate to relevant past experiences. I also empower clients to make life changes by helping them to develop effective tools and strategies for better navigating their current life circumstances and challenges.
My clinical interests include anxiety, stress, depression, trauma and substance abuse, grief, loneliness, and men’s issues. In addition, I enjoy integrating christian faith in the therapy process when invited by you, the client. I seek to assist people from all walks of life find a way to be seen, heard, known, and loved.
My previous professional experiences include being a cancer hospital chaplain, crisis worker, university counselor, community mental health, and inpatient substance use facility therapist.
Originally from Southeast Florida, I enjoy being around water, including surfing, fishing, and trying my very best to not get sunburnt. I am married, and the father of 4 young children. My family and I love to live, work, and serve in the Mt. Pleasant community of South Carolina.
